Dear fellow lovers of Light and pilgrims on The Way.

Welcome to this catechism.

We tried our best to present the material here, which warrants numerous book volumes in their own right, as briefly and plainly as possible. As you very well know it is near impossible to express oneself in human language when speaking about the mysteries of the Universes--and now, with this brief course, we pretend to be putting it forth 'succinctly and sweetly'.

You will no doubt find many limitations in the text, mainly because of its brevity. We beg your pardon for this but ask that you continually keep in mind that this is not a degree in doctrine but a catechism--meaning that the aim is to provide a brief overview of the essential teachings and most important elements in Church of the East's way of life.

Levels 1 and 2 of this series are presented for very small people and for young adults. This, the third level of catechism, is aimed at the general adult level. True to the nature of a catechism, a tradition of ancient recipe, the material is presented in question and answer format. May the Grace of God be with us as we work through these brief steps on The Way, and may our spiritual eyes be open and help the stubborn mind to understand these important lessons.

You have to study all (almost 50) sections of Catechism Level 1.  Once you feel ready to write the little multiple choice test, just ask your tutor for it.  When this is satisfactorily completed your tutor will submit your results to the college for your Certificate to be issued. 

Catechism Level 3 is a prerequisite for most other courses.  If you are aiming to study for ordination or just want to do studies in Scripture or spirituality you have to first complete this Catechism course.

If you do not have a tutor assigned to you already please fill in the Application to Study form and a tutor will be assigned to you as soon as possible.

This Catechism will be made available in booklet form during 2002.
