What is the Yoga of Yesu
The Sanskrit word 'yoga' is from the root word
meaning yoke. Yoga is the Sanskrit word for the lifestyle of being yoked
together with Christ on the Way. Christ offers us the opportunity to be
yoked to him so that we can both pull this wagon, together, in tandem. It
is a lifestyle, a dedication and devotion. It carries with it an implicit
responsibility to one's yokefellow(s), and it is thus a team effort.
The greatest spirit known to humanity must surely
have much to teach with regards the Way to Perfection - Yoga. For sure,
volumes and volumes full of intricate lessons flow from the Saviour's
loving heart in the hope that something will lodge in our being, germinate
and come to fruition.
Lets look at his divine teaching. Here it is, all
of it, in three words: Simplicity, Humility, and Compassion. The Saviour
went beyond merely stating these Truths - he lived it so that we could
take courage and follow in his footsteps - and millions have already done
that.
The entire Eastern Bible is devoted to the Yoga
of Yesu. One Scripture which has particular emphasis on the variations and
subtleties of Yoga, of that lifestyle being yoked to Christ, is the
Baghavad Gita.
